I have started quilting this newborn quilt suitable for a baby boy or girl. It features bright yellow, pastel blue and white with traingles of little kitty fabric in yellow. This is one of the deer in Deer Meadow. He seems to like the tender leaves near the fence of the property. My apartment is adjacent to a magical nature park with a wildflower meadow, walking trail, creek and woods. I can sit on my porch and quilt while I am surrounded by natural beauty. Life has so much to offer, if we open our eyes and look.

This is a new quilt that I began this week. It’s called Pretty in Pink. I’ve finished piecing the top and will get started with the actual quilting this weekend. It should take me about a month to complete. Pink floral, pink stripes and white cotton and cotton blends. A precious baby girl is just waiting somewhere for this sweet newborn quilt.

I call this quilt Vintage Syle. It is reminiscent of days gone by when times seemed simpler and life more gentle. It is made from vintage cotton fabrics and cotton blends. This is a smaller quilt, but still large enough to for a sweet newborn. Vintage Style measures 23” x 30”.

This is a new quilt I am working on now. I call it Field of Flowers because it looks like the Nature Park in my backyard. Texas wildflowers are in full bloom now. Right before my eyes, we have a meadow full of bluebonnets, pink evening primrose, Indian firewheel, and many more bright and beautiful wildflowers. As is sit on my porch and quilt, I am surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Field of Flowers is made of cotton and cotton blends with polyester batting. It measures 28” x 38”.
